WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR THERMOSTAT DON’T READ PROPERLY

Your Thermostat Problems? What to do when your Thermostat Dont’t read Properly.

I have been working as a heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning technician for twenty years now.Throughout my career as a technician, I have encountered the same problem repeatedly, like the most common problem that my clients were encountering are basic thermostat problems.

Moreover, I have seen a lot of owners committing the same mistake when it comes to remedying the basic or sometimes false thermostat problem. In this article, I will shortly share a personal story with a client who had small thermostat problems that was not properly fixed by the contractor that she hired.

Know about Thermostat Problems

A couple of years ago I encountered a job where a certain contractor installed a “replacement digital thermostat” on the same location where the old thermostat was formerly located. It’s exactly located between two door in a hallway. As I looked at it, it was supposed to be simple thermostat problems. Yet what the contractor did was he attached old wires that were already attached to the old thermostat which is not really a problem itself. It’s the location of the said wires that caused trouble. To make the story short, the contractor made the petty problem more complicated. Another thermostat problems that my client has encountered upon the installation was she had difficulty in reading the display and what the buttons are trying to depict.

Learn About common thermostat problems

Obviously, I was able to fix the supposed to be petty thermostat problems. My client wanted to pay me for fixing the thermostat problems she had encountered but instead of accepting the money I simply told her to spread my name and mobile number to anyone who needs the same kind of service.  She was really happy for the job I did.

Sure, digital thermostats nowadays are generally reliable; it’s just that most of it are wrongly programmed, improperly installed, or the wires are not enough or correctly installed. The cause of  thermostat problems is the poor technical know-how of the person installing the technology. Some may have experience in doing basic things like addressing basic thermostat problems yet they proper lack experience that is why the result would be a failure. Unfortunately, a lot of homeowners doesn’t have an idea whether the service company that they are calling are truly reliable or not. Therefore, after the installation that is the only time that they would realize that they actually hired an incompetent contractor. For sure, you don’t want your device to be ruined by a person who only knows how to do basics. Make sure to find a legitimate and certified technician who could help you I fixing basic to complex thermostat problems.
